To Become a Member

  • First register at our forums.
  • Send a email (from the same email account you used on the forums) to us with your information for the gamers list. This information is: Location, Country, Favorite/Preferred Outpost 2 color for multiplayer, When you started playing Outpost 2, Age, Connection Speed, Comments, Home page, Forum ID and also a avatar, attach it to the email or supply url of image. This information will appear on the gamers list.
  • Get an IRC client and get connected to our channel. You must then have IRC open whenever your computer is on and online.
  • Once added to the gamers list, please register for World Domination.
  • Setup a Q bot account on QuakeNet and use hidden host mode (+x). Once you do this we can add you to our bot for auto voice.

What you can possibly do for the community

  • Post regularly on our forums to help keep them active.
  • Play Outpost 2 at our IRC channel, we prefer if you can play World Domination games as it helps it keep going.
  • Help out on community projects, what ever skills you have, offer them.
  • Create Outpost 2 content, such as content for website, missions, maps or other things.
  • Become a Outpost 2 developer and get on the Outpost Universe development team to help out with community projects.
  • Help out newbies, get them set up, help them learn to play, give them links to relevant pages on site, etc.
  • Advertise Outpost 2 and the site to other people.
  • Idle in the IRC channel(s) - this means when your computer is on and online IRC is running and your connected. The more people in our channels the better the channels look. Idling is easy for most cable/broadband users as they have there computer on a lot anyway.
  • Help out with the wiki.

What is expected of members

  • Be nice to one another on our IRC channels and forums - we want to keep Outpost 2 fun for all, a friendly, light hearted atmosphere is required :)
  • Respect other members of the community, we are an world wide community with people of all ages from different parts of the world, it doesn't matter if you agree with some one or not. We are all here for one reason: to enjoy Outpost with one another, keep it in mind.
  • To be connected to our IRC channel(s) whenever your computer is on and online.
  • Help out new members when they need help.

What members get

  • Auto voice on IRC channel to show their member status
  • nick@outpost-universe.net email forwarding to members email account of their choice, if you want a new email account we can give you a Google mail email.
  • Optional website hosting, we can host your own domain or give you a sub domain here to this site.
